Dragon under whiterun also had a bug that could crash the game, asked about it but 0 response. For those who have it, check your frost breath in the shout section after you get the 2nd part of the shout, you will see what iam reffering to. I have a hair color mod and I don't have a face bug. Could you be more specific about the Dragon Under. I've noticed recently on skyrim, that the faces of every single character in the game has a really dark grey face. I'm not too sure if it was just that one time I loaded the game. I'll try it later.but I can't really remember when it started.it might have just been today. Anyone else encountered this problem? The mechanics of this fix are explained here. If this bug has already been triggered and there is no previous 'clean face save', a new one can be created after curing vampirism by doing Falion's quest and then re-contracting the disease. Then, before becoming a full vampire, save the game as a fresh file and do not overwrite it. So, I have several mods installed that improve the appearance of npcs and followers. Most of them look fine- no dark face. But about 2 mods I have that change bandit variety and another that changes vampire faces has the dark face bug. Jarl Outfit from Skyrim Download skin now! NPC creation:
Skyrim Brown Face Bug
- create an entirely new npc from scratch, DO NOT DUPLICATE AN EXISTING NPC,
- in the actor form, in 'Template Data', in 'ActorBase' choose the model your npc will use and select 'Use Traits' (leave the other data alone unless you know what you are doing). Do not edit the base actor you have chosen.
Once you have picked up a base actor for your npc, all the data on the 'Traits' tab of your npc form will be greyed out so that you cannot modify them. Modifying them would create the dark face bug you are trying to avoid. Consequently, you'll have to be careful about your choice, especially if your npc must use some vanilla dialogue because you won't be able to modify its voice type. Specialty power windows installation video.
In the example below, I'm using 'EncBandit04MissileNordF' as a base object for Griselda. In the preview window on the right, you can see that the face looks normal but the body doesn't look normal at all. Do not panic, this is of no importance at all,
Dark Face Bug Skyrim Special Edition Fix
- in the Render View window, your character will show a similar problem at the neck; here too, do not panic, this is of no importance. Kodak i40 scanner driver windows 10.
What is important is the result in game. Here is what Griselda looks like in game, no dark face bug, no weird neck!
What existing npcs should I use?
Any npc with one exception: do not use the presets, they will have the dark face bug.

Once you have finished, delete the 'Actor' folders that the CK created in Data/Meshes and Data/Textures. They contain unneeded face gen data.
Here you go, you are all set now!
